Kristi Parker-Barnhart is very excited to take on the position of Co-Education Director, and help lead Stage 773’s Lil Buds into a bright, successful future!

Kristi has been working with youth for the past ten years and has been Managing Director of Li’l Buds Theatre Company, here in Chicago, since 2016. Kristi loves many parts of her job as both a teaching artist and director for such a wide age range of students; “There is no one more joyful than PreK Drama students, getting to pretend to be their favorite thing... but there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the older students after they’ve had a great show, and their faces are beaming with pride!”

Her passion for theatre education led her to Chicago in 2010, after performing in touring children’s theatre companies such as Hampstead Stage Company and The National Theatre For Children. Since her arrival in Chicago, Kristi has worked with ComedySportz Theater as their Highschool League Director and as a Teaching Artist at Bubbles Academy and L&L Preschool. She is also currently the Education Liason for The New Colony, where she is a company member and assists in their Intro to TNC and Writer’s Room classes.

In her free time, Kristi is a writer, actor and voice-over artist. She loves spending time with her husband, Travis (who also works at Stage 773) and traveling to see family and friends in her home state of Oklahoma.

Kristi is proud to be part of the Stage 773 team and is looking forward to taking on the role of Co-Education Director!
